Reverie is a Chinese candle brand built around the idea of becoming pleasantly lost in romantic thoughts. Each candle captures a different emotional state of love through scent, storytelling, and folklore.

Most candle brands rely on generic luxury aesthetics and fragrance descriptions, creating little emotional connection beyond the scent itself.

People do not only buy candles for fragrance; they buy them to create a mood, relive memories, and immerse themselves in emotions.

IDEA

Transform each candle into a narrative experience inspired by Chinese folklore, where every scent represents a different facet of love and invites consumers into a dreamlike emotional journey.

EXECUTION

The identity was built around the concept of reverie—a state of being pleasantly lost in thought. Four candles were developed, each representing a distinct romantic narrative drawn from Chinese folklore, including themes of passion, devotion, tragedy, and unconventional love. Detailed illustrations bring these stories to life on the packaging, while minimal vessel labels create visual balance and allow the brand to maintain a premium presence.
